Hanley Swan NGS Gardens

7 gardens in the beautiful historic village of Hanley Swan all different in style and design. Entrance tickets and maps from Orchard Side. Wristbands valid for both days. Many wildlife features within the gardens with increasing environmental considerations, growing vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, perenials and exotics, cottage garden style plantings. C16 and C17 Black and White cottages (not open) sit in two of the gardens. Extended and individual garden descriptions are on the NGS website. Gardens with plenty of places to sit and enjoy your teas. One new garden and one returning this year. New planting schemes with in the group. Wildlife photographs and vintage garden tools on display.

About Hanley Swan NGS Gardens

Orchard Side, a country garden with unusual items in the garden. A koi pond sits in front of the peaceful Zen Den. Returning this year, Sundew sits in a modest plot of approx. 1/3 of an acre, a well-stocked garden, wildlife pond. Yew Tree Cottage, a C17 black and white cottage (not open) within a cottage garden, vegetables, borders with field views at rear. The Paddocks, a wildlife garden with ponds, a tadpole nursery, mixed borders, greenhouse, cacti and succulents. Meadowbank, a modern interpretation of a traditional cottage garden. Cottage garden plants, iris, grasses, bamboos, dahlias. Moving towards a more sustainable way of gardening. Cherry tree cottage C16 black and white thatched cottage (not open) with interesting outbuildings, borders, vegetables, ponds and wildlife area. 19 Winnington Gardens, a garden of rooms. Mixed borders, climbing roses, oriental garden, fruit trees, herbs, pelargonium collection, irises, collection of vintage garden tools.

Visit by Arrangement

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from 16 June to 29 August for groups of between 10 and 20.

Please contact the garden owner to discuss your requirements and arrange a date for a group or bespoke visit.
