About Highfield Farm
Highfield Farm Garden is a celebration of plants. There are over 1400 cultivars, with many rarities, densely planted over 3 acres and set within the majestic Monmouthshire landscape. It offers an exuberant display across the seasons, providing an intimate, immersive experience with this diverse array of herbaceous, shrubs and trees.
There are narrow walks through very tall perennials and shrubs, and you will see tall, wispy pastel coloured perennials and grasses in gravel, an experimental collection of hot and tender plants, a garden of 8ft giants, a classic shrub and perennial garden, including a hydrangea collection, a naturalised wild section, late summer quadrants of asters and grasses and a new ‘madness garden’ opened in 2022. It is a garden for all seasons but with real impact in late spring and high summer.
Good access to site, ample parking, wheelchair access to garden, fabulous panoramic views of north Monmouthshire, huge plant sales of specimens from the garden and, of course, home-made refreshments.
