Honeywell

Over 5 yrs we have lovingly transformed the site of an old farmyard, planting with changing climate, our altitude and winds in mind. Many large grasses, interplanted with perennials grown for their flowers and foliage. Grasses give structure, shape and importantly movement. Reclaimed materials have been cleverly used in “the shack”, a shelter to enjoy refreshments and stunning views to Exmoor.

About Honeywell

The transformation of this abandoned farm yard has been cleverly worked to make use of existing landscape, such as the old concrete yard. The site is open to the elements and experimenting with plants and moving them about to find their happy place has been part of the evolving design. Leaving nature to take its course is also part of the ethos here and wildlife such as deer, hedgehogs, birds, rabbits etc. have all been allowed to dwell side by side with the formal and informal areas. The passion and love for this space as it continues to develop is clear from the enthusiasm of this gardener.
