About Horseshoe Farm
Developed over the past 15 years, this 3/4-acre plant-lover’s garden welcomes Spring with drifts of snowdrops, hellebores and scented shrubs. A large pond contains several species of fish, and there is a summer house, with decking over the water.
Other points of interest are a bog bed with board walk, alpine troughs, over 40 varieties of irises, additional water features, mixed rainbow island beds, a small hazel woodland with bluebells and foxgloves, an area for wildlife and an enclosed vegetable garden.
There are many seats and secret corners including a Fairy Walk, Bug Walk and a shady silver ball garden. Lots of colour throughout the summer. The lookout tower gives extensive views over the Fenland countryside where hares, marsh harriers and other raptors may be seen.
