About Ivy Chimneys

A garden planted for year-round interest with a number of ornamental trees, including specimen Trachycarpus Fortunei mature Rubinia Pseudoacacia and Ligustrum Excelsum Superbum. Also a small topiary garden, and further topiary in pots that helps to fill a large terrace which has an unusual BBQ.
Imported metal screening separates the terrace from the level lawn with its tree seat and remainder of the garden, with a central bed planted as a colour wheel. There is an exotic border, an ornamental fish pond set in an area influenced by Japanese styling. Wisteria drapes a pergola that also supports a productive vine. A central bed has a colour wheel planting scheme.
Also from the terrace, past a large custom built planter that fills a difficult corner, is a path to the arched door leading into the secluded ornamental vegetable garden, with its wooden obelisks and further metal screening that support fan trained apple trees. A small orchard now fills the front lawn.
