A quiet oasis just off Derby's Outer Ring Road, hidden away in a residential area. A private site of nearly 12 acres, established in 1920, cultivated in a variety of ways, inc organic, no dig and potager style. Come and chat with plot holders about their edibles and ornamentals. Many exotic and Heritage varieties cultivated. Later in the year produce can be available to sample.

About Littleover Lane Allotments

A large private allotment site in south west Derby. About 170 plots, many cultivated to a high standard by almost 120 tenants. If you are interested in growing your own you should find help, advice and inspiration. Many plots have poly tunnels and greenhouses Some plot holders practice organic and/or no dig methods and cultivate unusual and heritage vegetables. Plot holders who are members of the Heritage Seed Library at Ryton (Grow Organic) grow a wide range of Tomatoes, Peas and Beans and Squash. Fruit including Figs, Quince, Medlars and Mulberries along with more traditional stone and soft fruit, can be seen and tasted on the appropriate days and individual plot holders consent.

Off the Derby Outer Ring Rd (A5111). At the Normanton Park r'about turn into Stenson Rd then R into Littleover Ln. The main gates are on the L as you travel down the road.
