About The Shades

Grange Drive was the location for the filming of Fawlty Towers series in the late 70s. The current owners watched the second series being filmed.

A natural well is surrounded by shrubs and acers. The well is fed by an underground stream. The garden was developed in 2010 to include a stone terrace with steps dividing the two lawn areas and changes were made to the existing flower bed. There is a large laurel hedge across the end of the garden with an entry through a rose arch behind which the compost heaps are situated. A green slate water feature with alpine plants completes the garden.
