Explore 20 acres of gardens which feature shrubs, lake and trees, period garden and sensory garden. Extensive countryside walks and trails from the garden. There is also a moated manor house and Saxon church with C19 follies. We have wildflowers and birds a plenty.

About Mannington Estate

Gardens include some cedar trees and yew hedges from 19th century and mature trees from 19th/early 20th but are mainly the work of present Lord Walpole from 1969 onwards. Main borders established from 1970s, Heritage Rose and scented gardens from 1980 (summer), arboretum 1980s, sensory garden early 21st .Newer gardens include Sensory, Four Elements, Less able and Children.
Also for children playground and enchanted trail with annual trails and quizzes.

Gardens managed for wildlife with notable wild flower meadow and board walk leading to bird hide and scrape. Wood and lake walks

15th century moated hall added to in 19th century when folly garden created around medieval church (ruined). Moat with water lilies and Lake.
