About Moverons

Moverons is a beautiful and peaceful country garden totally at ease with its surroundings. It sits overlooking the Colne Estuary and there are stunning views. The garden has been developed from an overgrown site in 1994 to one full of surprises. You will find a mixture of formality in the courtyard & informal planting with extensive mixed borders.
Many planting aspects are covered within the garden – drought, sun, shade – both dry & damp,. Colour schemes range from a delightful mix of pastels & soft colours on the terrace, to blue & yellow in the courtyard to sizzling hots in front of the yew hedge.
We have a growing collection of sculptures created by Payne and we regularly have exhibits by other artists. The old tennis court reflection pool garden has been completely redeveloped and includes a very unusual (and large) water feature.
Home-made teas are served in our barn so even if the weather is less than kind there is shelter. There are some lovely walks along the estuary with great opportunities for some good bird watching. There really is something for everyone at Moverons – why not take a moment to stand beneath one of our magnificent trees, watch for kingfishers, find out about the environmental work we are doing on our farm or simply find a quiet spot to sit and reflect.
