Packington Hall

Packington is the setting for an elegant Capability Brown landscape. Designed from 1751, the gardens inc a serpentine lake, impressive Cedars of Lebanon, Wellingtonias and a 1762 Japanese bridge. There is also a millennium rose garden, wildflower meadow, mixed terrace borders, and a newly restored walled garden.

About Packington Hall

Rhododendrons and azaleas precede the mirrored terrace beds glowing with perennials and grasses. Nearby is the Millennium Rose Garden planted with old fashioned roses complete with flowers, hips and haws. At the far end of the Pleasure Grounds is Nancy’s Slip, our wild flower meadow with winding paths that lead you down to the water’s edge. Our newly restored walled garden is both beautiful and productive with a small orchard, espaliered fruit trees, vegetables, cut flowers and a magnificent fruit cage. Please note these descriptions depend on the weather and time of year.
