About Penybont

In spectacular countryside with Red Kites and Buzzards above, walk through a continuity of seasonal colour, sweeping lawns, stone paths and leafy textures.
Original oak seats to rest and enjoy the peaceful views.
We welcome visitors anytime we’re home from May-September.
Special weekend opening for Lavender, Hydrangeas & Roses in July.
May-June displays colourful Hybrid Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Irises.
In July hundreds of Lavender with a large collection of Roses.
Lots of bright blue and white Hydrangeas in August with swathes of Crocosmia amongst dark and light leaved Acers. An amazing collection of foliage shades & textures.
Hard landscaping using stone, gravel and wood.
Lily Pond with rockery cascade surrounded by Acers, Bamboo, Cotinus, Hostas.
Walk up our field to a panorama of the Ystwyth valley, Roman hill forts and sheep!
Just below the property, lean on the wooden footbridge and enjoy the peaceful Nant Cwm Tarw stream or watch the birds. A spectacular carpet of wild woodland bluebells in late May.

Penybont is on the Ystwyth Cycle Trail (Aberystwyth-Tregaron).

Ystwyth Valley. 9 m SE of Aberystwyth. B4340 via Trawscoed towards Pontrhydfendigaid. Over stone bridge. ¼m up hill. Turn R along Lane/Ystwyth Trail past ex forestry houses.
