About Primrose Bank Garden and Nursery

A two acre plantswoman’s garden surrounded by open farmland, planted in both modern and traditional styles with rare and unusual plant varieties, shrubs and ornamental trees. Bulbs, hellebores and flowering shrubs in spring, followed by planting to give interest throughout the year. Courtyard garden, formal front garden with mixed borders, seating areas, summerhouse, arbour and pond. Lawned areas leading to a shade garden and on to the Woodland garden with large pond, stumpery, woodcarvings and a shepherds hut. Productive vegetable garden with cut flower area alongside an ornamental herb garden. An old orchard provides a home for rare breeds of poultry and a small flock of Hebridean sheep graze in the field alongside the car park. New sand beds and a railway garden with its own 1902 carriage in the process of restoration.
