About Sawston Gardens
Eight very different inspirational gardens, new large garden Pampisford Place in adjacent Pampisford features a run of colourful planters, a newly renovated walled garden with fountain and espalier fruit trees, vegetable garden and chickens. The gardens in the village of Sawston range from small to large. Two small modern gardens are 124 Woodland Road which is an attractive well laid out and maintained garden with stunning views to the Gog Magog Hills, and 10 Wynemares presenting a colourful and creative variety of planting. Two recently redesigned long gardens are at 34 Cambridge Road which has immaculate attractive borders, vegetables and fruit, and 20 London Road which has winding gravel paths with interestingly planted borders down to a wildlife area. 11 Mill Lane is classic yet quirky and has an impressive front garden and secluded sunny rear garden. Our largest gardens are the two acre mature Mary Challis Garden with very many lovely different features, left in Trust to the village in 2006, and Brook House a 1½ acre garden in the grounds of a Grade II listed house, containing a walled kitchen garden, professionally designed borders, greenhouse, orchard and specimen trees.
