About Shadrack Dairy Farm
A relatively new garden and one that is still evolving. Being a former dairy farm, there is lots of concrete and hardcore with little earth. By dividing it up, discreet zones have been created to represent plants from different parts of the world. The main courtyard has an Italianate feel, with large terracotta pots and formal clipped specimens. There is a small orchard with a typically English feel, with wild flowers and grass. An arid gravel area populated with dry, heat loving plants and a Mediterranean area with large palms and vibrant colours. There is also a stream running through part of the garden allowing moisture loving plants to thrive.
