Soil Squad

Soil Squad's Community Composting Hub turns food waste into living compost for gardens and allotments. We showcase hot and cold composting, maturation bays, Johnson–Su bioreactors and leaf mould. We focus on planet, plant and people health, Soil Squad is for anyone keen to enrich both their soil and wellbeing. The Wilderhood Watch Allotment is also open, designed for wildlife and productivity.

About Soil Squad

Visits By Arrangement

From May to July 2026 we’re opening the gates on weekdays for small groups of 5–10. Please contact Soil Squad to set a date that suits.

NOGS Composting workshops will also pop up on selected dates – see soilsquad.uk/events for details

We have light refreshments, parking and a toilet on site. Do wear sensible footwear: our friendly hub is outdoors, with woodchip paths and a bit of natural bumpiness underfoot.

We will take a look at the Wilderhood Watch allotment as part of your visit with its pond and organically designed beds.
