About Southbourne

Originally a 2 acre, steep and uncultivated site has been extensively terraced in three phases since 1988. The gardens now have retaining walls, lawns, herbaceous and shrub beds together with a fish pond, patios and wild flower area. The woodland of 1 acre comprises young trees and shrubs (including a Columnar Pear, Scarlet Oak and Dawn Redwood). Paths and steps lead from one level to another.
Views of the SSSI (Bodenham Lake) to the Skirrid and Black mountains are seen from terraced walks and lawns.
