About Tuffley Lawn
This mature, one-acre, plantsman’s garden has developed over the past forty-five years from a water-logged, windy field, and is continually evolving with new planting. A country garden, it has always been completely organic, and over the years many rare and exotic plants have been collected. Trees and hedges provide a shelter belt from frost and the strong westerlies from Strangford Lough, protecting Rhododendron and Azaleas, herbaceous plants and fruit trees plus a productive vegetable patch. A number of hostas, primulas and rodgersias surround a small pond, supporting wildlife.
