About Tumblins

Tumblins is a 3 acre hill top garden with views down the Winterborne Valley to Poole Harbour and the Isle of Wight. The garden was designed and planted by the present owners in the last 15 years. There is a small lake with koi carp, connected by a rill to a pond, all filled with harvested rain water. The garden is planted with unusual shrubs and trees including Azara lanceolata, Wollemia nobolis, Ginko biloba and Monteray Pine. There are around 100 roses in the garden and hydrangeas thrive providing lots of colour. There are two orchards, a kitchen garden, soft fruit garden, mixed borders with unusual perenials, a gravel/flint garden and mini arboretum. The garden is accessible though sloping, the gravel garden may be difficult for wheelchairs.
