Walled Garden, 1 Farquhar Street

A passionate plant persons town garden set within Victorian walls, incorporating full curvaceous borders of select herbaceous and woody plants which surround an ever decreasing central lawned area. Many plants are homegrown within the greenhouse with wildlife in mind and adorn the borders year-round whilst the mature trees surrounding the garden, welcome many birds.

About Walled Garden, 1 Farquhar Street

In its ever evolving state, our garden changes subtly each year incorporating new trees, shrubs and perennials, whilst the lawn continues to decrease in size! Attempting to create an immersive feeling is our goal together with improving biodiversity overall. Interesting foliage and delicate flowers are the focus in the east and north facing borders whilst the south and west facing borders are filled with younger trees and many different perennials and grasses that love our free-draining soil.

½m from Hertford Town Centre in the conservation area of Bengeo. Continue out of town up Port Hill and take the 1st L into Cross Rd. Turn L at the end and along to our house.
