Emphasis on white cottage perennials, bulbs, feature tulips, and fragrant old roses, mature trees,and topiarised shrubs. Artist’s painting studio and Artisan made ironwork obelisks, bell cloches, cottage plant supports and decorative art pieces and hardy cottage perennial plants for sale as seen within the garden.

M6 J43, E A69, 5m E of Carlisle, 3m W of Brampton. Turn for Hayton. Park in central village, 2 mins walk past the Stone Inn Pub (on L), take 1st R, Cumbrian cottage with metal gate on L.

A group opening is when a number of gardens open together on the same day.

Refreshments Home-made teas in Hayton Village Primary School (tea & cake). Also cold refreshments in one of the gardens outside if suitable. Village green available for picnics. Cash payments only.
