About Westview

Westview is a small walled cottage garden with year-round interest. There are interesting and unusual plants, many grown from seed. A formal box parterre, courtyard garden, woodland area, small wildlife pond, greenhouse, productive fruit and vegetable garden, small auricula theatre and stone alpine troughs underline the imaginative use of limited space. The garden is managed organically, relying on home-made compost and plant diversity to attract beneficial wildlife. A restored Victorian water saving system collects rain water from the roofs of out-buildings. Quirky garden ornaments, some made from recycled materials, add to the interest. Garden owners are beekeepers and welcome visits from fellow apiarists as well as plant enthusiasts
Newly installed metal raised beds and relaid brick paths have enhanced the vegetable garden and made it easier to manage.

Restored Victorian outhouse functions as a garden office and houses a collection of old garden tools and ephemera. This garden is proud to provide plants for the National Garden Scheme’s Show Garden at Chelsea Flower Show 2024.
