A medium-size 4 yr old garden divided into two areas. The main area consists of herbaceous borders and island beds, planted with unusual perennials and grasses, both tender and hardy to give year-round colour and interest. The second area is chiefly devoted to vegetables and fruit with flowering shrubs to provide interest.

Variety of perennials including salvias, dahlias, geums, roses, clematis, heucheras and pittosporums and a large no of Miscanthus grasses, calamagrostis and pennisetum. There are a large number of pots containing many varieties of Hosta and other foliage plants.
There are two shade borders consisting mostly of geraniums, ferns, grasses, persicarias and astilbes.
Vegetable beds contain brassicas, potatoes, beans, raspberries and strawberries.
