About 21 Gospatrick Road
This garden is within Tower Gardens Estate, a cottage garden suburb laid out by London County Council in the early 20thC, in the Arts and Crafts style. The original garden boundaries are low wooden rails, allowing light to penetrate and giving views of neighbouring plots. Sections of trellis support clematis, honeysuckle, jasmine and climbing roses.
Planting is a mixture of established trees and shrubs and newer, more exotic additions, giving contrasting impressions as you move around the garden. Fruit and herb garden includes gooseberries, redcurrants, blackberries, grapevine and herbs. Plants chosen and managed to be drought tolerant.
