About 5 Avon Avenue
The property was built in the 1920s and has a north facing rear garden with interrupted views of the Edge Hill Escarpment. The front garden is bordered by an unusual sculptured privet hedge and drought tolerant planting.
Enter the rear garden by the side gate onto a gravel area with numerous pots containing a mixture of annuals and perennials. On the left hand side of a central lawn you will find a large fir tree that has been present in the garden for over 25 years giving the opportunity for challenging under planting in a long herbaceous flower bed. At the end of the garden is a small veg patch in the shape of a flag. During lockdown a small wildlife pond and wild area has been added. You will also find hornbeam sculptures. The whole garden has been managed organically for the last 17 years.
The property is bounded by beech and hornbeam hedges and the garden is interspersed with garden art made in the small working pottery.
