A constantly changing, multifaceted garden packed full of interesting plants but also colour, scent and form. Shady and sunny areas are exploited to the full and every effort made to create year-round interest. Sue’s glasshouse is overflowing with cacti and succulents, some over 35 yrs old. All is on a scale readily relatable to small garden owners. Both owners are retired horticulturalists.

About 9 Higman Close

A most unexpected garden given its somewhat inauspicious location. Fences and boundary planting isolate it from the surrounding houses and encourage you to become immersed in dense, complex planting containing a greater range of plants than gardens ten times its size. Bright, colourful displays contrast with cool, contemplative shade. Common bedding subjects rub shoulders with choice rarities. Plants in the ground are augmented by numerous containers and four glasshouses full of plants. There are no space fillers, every plant has to pay the rent or pay the price!
