Rear garden faces south and the design is contemporary to reflect the newly built house on site. Many tulips in spring throughout the garden, amongst the mainly perennial planting. Large vegetable area, fruit trees, inc espalier trees, 'stepovers' and 2 ponds.

About Bluebells

Varying well established borders, some full shade, some full sun, with different planting styles.
A large feature bed has mainly winter and spring interest with white birch and winter dogwoods, and many tulips and alliums.
2 greenhouses for propagation and growing tender vegetables and other plants.
A new wildlife pond is evolving in its planting; a large formal koi pond has a few water lilies.
Many less usual design features include: use of gabions, screening, arches for growing squash and climbing beans, use of hydroponics, a hot bin composter & wormery, and a hugelkultur bed.
Favourite plants: salvias, echinaceas, geraniums, hostas, cornus, hydrangeas, persicaria.
A few chicken roam free part of the day.
