About Blunts Hall

Alan and Lesley have been working on the restoration of the garden at Blunts Hall for the last five years with the aim of returning it to its Victorian roots. As with any garden, restoration is always ongoing. During the late nineteenth century the garden was landscaped to create different levels and plant specimen trees.

The neglected garden has presented us with many challenges and projects. Re-instatement of the Parterre. Planting of more fruit trees in the orchard, and establishing a pleached pear walk and step-over. Clearing the woodland walk around pond. Maintaining the Ancient Ringwork. Transformation of Courtyard Garden. Yew Tree walk.
Our planting is not confined to Victorian fashions. We like to try as many different plants as possible to achieve the effect for a particular area.
