About Brompton Village Gardens
Five very different walled gardens in an historic setting.
The plants woman’s garden has an emphasis on encouraging wildlife with a pond, living roof hiding a space for containers, and bee-friendly plants. Also unusual plants e.g. grapefruit bush, climbing kiwi, and Chinese root ginger plant.
The new easy maintenance garden re-designed from a garden for young children into an elegant Italianate style, with an attractive serpentine pathway through green shrubbery to a summer house.
The colourful garden was re-designed after extensive building works. The planting in now maturing into an elegant garden with an emphasis on colour and all year round interest, and complemented by relaxing seating areas making the most of the sunny aspect.
The English country garden contains the tallest ever hollyhocks (!) along with lavender, hydrangeas, alliums, and agapanthus, and an elegant summer house and relaxed seating areas, also has a playhouse for the wider family’s children.
Teas will be provided in this garden, with an interesting collection of teapots!
