About Calderstones Nature Reserve
The Reserve is developed and maintained by The Friends of Calderstones Park and a dedicated team of volunteers.
Calderstones Nature Reserve is a brownfield site with a concrete base, that has presented us with a real challenge in our bid to make the area as biodiverse as possible. We have a large wildflower meadow and planting beds on top of concrete. It was featured on BBC 2 Gardeners’ World and was described by Frances Tophill as “breathtakingly beautiful” and by Monty Don as “spectacular”.
The Reserve is developed and maintained by The Friends of Calderstones Park and a dedicated team of volunteers.
