About Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens
Like visiting the 18th century rural country in a 21st century city!
Rescued by volunteers 40 years ago the garden contains nearly 600 species of plants and flowers. Still maintained largely by volunteers, the compact walled site maintains formal parterres in yew and box and nurtures formal and informal orchards with over 60 trees and 35 varieties of heritage fruit. Period wilderness walks, formal borders, 18th century garden rooms. a holly maze and kitchen garden is a delight for garden lovers and casual visitors alike. The areas outside the walls are a haven for wildlife, den building and mud kitchen areas for the young ones to explore
One of the few remaining pre-Capability Brown garden layouts.
