About Elmcroft

Joanna’s choice of form and colour reflect her art historical background, as evidenced by a preference for foliage and unusual perennials. The garden is so designed as to provide interest from early spring through to late autumn.

The statuary, wall decorations and some of the plant selections carry a classical theme in keeping with the address and the possibility of Roman vineyards on the site nearly two millennia ago. Plaques reflecting this with literary references chosen by Joanna on display.
