About Farningham Mill
Located in the Darenth Valley Farningham Mill was first recorded in the Domesday Book of 1070. Sitting on an island between river and mill stream the walled garden is watched over by a nymph statue. Beyond is the old orchard extending 300 metres to the weir where the river and mill stream meet. The grounds are visited by a vast array of wildlife including roe deer, badgers and foxes. Patrolled by passing kingfishers, often joining the little egret and secretive moorhens exploring the river.
