Guilsborough Gardens

Enjoy a warm welcome in this village with its very attractive rural setting of rolling hills and reservoirs. We have a group of contrasting gardens for you to visit, with several new gardens recently added inc a 1⅓ acre garden undergoing a complete rebirth. Most of us grow fruit and vegetables in various settings such as a walled kitchen garden and raised beds in cottage gardens. We aim for spring flowers in abundance from bulbs (badgers permitting), shrubs and blossom.

About Guilsborough Gardens

Guilsborough is an attractive village in an elevated position in the Northamptonshire Uplands. Several of the large gardens have beautiful views eastwards across a valley and the Hollowell reservoir. Areas of light woodland and acid soils give these gardens a distinct character.
Four Acres, on sandy soil facing south west has different planting challenges and far-reaching country-side views.

Although some are classic English country house gardens, they are constantly evolving as areas are replanted and new projects, such as the rill garden at The Old House, are developed.
We have three new gardens this year. Borsdane House and Ivy House, both examples of imaginative use of a smaller space.

Bramstead House has recently been refurbished and its garden is undergoing a complete rebirth. Expect spectacular views in a wildlife-friendly setting.
We all enjoy our gardens and hope you will too.
