About Holme for Gardens

Holme for Gardens is a family business run by Simon and Liz Goldsack. Set in the wonderful Isle of Purbeck not far from the famous Jurassic Coast, Holme is all about the beautiful surroundings, the relaxing ambience, the gorgeous plants, the picturesque planted gardens, the nature and wildlife, and most of all about people enjoying themselves.

Visitors can explore an award-winning local garden centre stocking a wide range of quality plants, from traditional favourites to more exotic varieties. All our staff are keen gardeners and/or allotmenteers who are happy to share their expertise with you, and will help you make your garden look as good as it possibly can.

The Orchard Cafe serves home-made meals and refreshments all day. From traditional breakfasts and lunches with seasonal specials, to Dorset cream teas and not forgetting plenty of cakes. There are beautiful ponds and landscaped patios to sit around, and a large indoor conservatory, all of which are dog friendly.

The 15 acres of landscaped gardens are a source of delight, changing throughout the seasons, with a huge variety of plants chosen for interest and appeal. From stunning wildflower meadows and lavender hedges, through to the wisteria walk and kitchen garden, there is always something in flower to see. There is a large grass amphitheatre, popular for live theatre and concert performances throughout the summer.
