Lanjeth Nursery & Water Gardens

The Nursery & Water Gardens are designated as a County Wildlife Site as part of Lanjeth Heath. Stretching over 13½ acres,130 ponds and lakes are being cleared and renovated by the current owners. Lakes and ponds are spring fed, ensuring pure ecology of each body of water where plants and wildlife flourish. As a natural wet land, water plants thrive: irises and lilies, marginals and oxygenators.

About Lanjeth Nursery & Water Gardens

Lanjeth Nursery and Water Gardens, located south of St Austell, are designated as a County Wildlife Site as part of Lanjeth Heath. For over 50 years the13.5 acres and130 ponds and lakes have been home to water loving plants; irises, lilies, marginals and oxygenators and their associated species such as bog myrtle, pale butterwort and black bog rush. From 2022 the current owners have lovingly cleared and renovated the ponds and surrounding woodland, have added paths and renamed conserved areas such as Pooh Corner, Cider Green, The 77s’ and Two Trees.
The Potting Shed cafe serves freshly baked treats and The Pavilion can host groups.
