Limetrees

Limetrees is a medium sized garden, 7½ yrs in the making by the current owners, but already looking mature and well established thanks to the existing mature trees around the mostly ironstone and cob-walled boundaries. The garden features well over 1000 different plant species and varieties inc some registered under the Plant Heritage 'Plant Guardian' scheme.

About Limetrees

The garden has been described as a ‘plantsman’s’ garden with a wide range of rare and unusual plants growing alongside more familiar ones, most of which are labelled for easy identification.

It has something for most gardening tastes including sweeping borders, island beds, a wildlife pond, rock garden, bog garden, trees, shrubs, shade borders, fern collection, greenhouse/alpine house filled with ‘treasures’ and a fruit/vegetable garden.

Although the garden has been landscaped to appeal aesthetically, the plants take centre stage.

Plants propagated from those in the garden and raised from seed will be on sale inc some rarities.
