About Little Urswick Village Gardens
Situated on the southwest peninsular of Cumbria close to Morecambe Bay and the Cumbrian fells, these 8 gardens are all within walking distance of each other. They range in size and diversity, from more modern bungalows with formal planting and entertaining areas to ones with established trees and shrubs, all with far-reaching views. Visitors will encounter an eco friendly garden with beehives and an established mulberry tree, a Victorian orangery that was rescued from going into landfill, an ancient farmhouse with very mature trees and herbaceous borders and a very private rear garden with a lily pond. A creatively designed garden has vegetables and herbaceous plants side by side, plus a garden created by two cycling enthusiasts with some original pieces throughout. An abundance of fruit trees herbaceous borders, roses and vegetable plots are to be found amongst the gardens.
