Seven gardens: a school community garden, carefully tended bungalow gardens, a delightful hidden garden with a rill, small terraced gardens showing what can be achieved with a small plot, and a large garden with productive vegetable and fruit area and beehives designed to encourage wildlife approx 10-15 mins walk from the village centre.

Llanfechain has medieval motte & bailey earthworks and is centred around the Church of St Garmon which dates back to 1603. Some interesting buildings dating back to the same period are clustered around the church. The Grade II pub, Plas Yn Dinas, is C17 and served as a courthouse in the past.
