About Lower Wernfigin Barns

The gardens around Wernfigin Barns have been created over the past ten years by the owners from a bramble and nettle infested plot surrounding a ruined barn which is now their home. The landscaped grounds comprise of several distinct areas, the main courtyard surrounded by the converted barn buildings, the western terraced flower garden, the orchard, fruit and vegetable garden beyond that, the spring garden with its azaleas, bulbs and rhododendrons behind the house, and finally the newly planted woodland/meadow garden up into the owners six acre field where an unusual folly awaits and where visitors may also stretch their legs and explore the brook.
