Murray Edwards College

Informal gardens with mature trees around which the modern college was built. Gardens inc sculptures from the Women’s Art Collection and herbaceous borders more recently planted for sustainability and biodiversity. Within the gardens sits the 150 year old glasshouse originally belonging to Emma Darwin, of the Darwin family.

About Murray Edwards College

Running through the college are the Woodland Walk garden packed full of spring bulbs, Orchard Court with bulb lawn and the Fellows Garden with wildlife pond and mature trees. Also in the gardens are vegetable, herb and cut flower beds which are used to provide produce and flowers for students and staff. Beautiful and extensive large container displays are placed at the front of college all year round, including a wide range of Pelargoniums, unusual shrubs and semi tropical plants
