About Old Keepers

Described by visitors as ‘a real gardener’s garden’, we are a fairly new 1½ acre garden set around a Grade II listed former brickmaker’s cottage (not open), with borders packed full of perennials, a meadow and small orchard that’s a haven for wildlife, with over 20 different types of butterfly spotted in 2023.

We designed the garden ourselves, and we’ve made the most of the beautiful views across the garden and village, with strategically positioned benches and perching spots to enjoy, perfect with a coffee and cake!
