Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm & Studio

We are passionate about British cut flowers at this working flower farm. We sow, grow and harvest seasonal, British cut flowers without chemicals or pesticides. Our seedlings are grown in peat free compost. We hand cut our flowers to order from what is available depending on the season. You can learn about the British flower market, how the garden works and our philosophy on Emma's tours.

About Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm & Studio

Fresh flowers can usually be cut from March to October. Learn the rationale behind this 2 acre flower farm and why encouraging more people to appreciate the very best that the British seasons can bring is so important e.g. buying locally and reducing flower air miles. Nearly 90% of flowers in the UK are imported! The choice of flowers available for cutting depends on the season and the weather, plus the appetites of the slugs and snails. Voles too, have been a problem at times.
Home-made teas include tea, coffee, cake and squash.
