About Rookwoods
Rookwoods has a tranquil garden with many mature and specimen trees. The garden includes a more recently planted shrubbery. The herbaceous borders feature columns of tumbling Madame Alfred Carriere roses. Two pleached hornbeam rooms lead to a wildflower bed which is hopefully improving year by year. The wild flower bed is surrounded by mixed borders and Indian bean trees. Further on is a Buttercup meadow & ancient Oak wood.
Walking far is not necessary, you can linger over tea on the terrace under a dreamy wisteria canopy, with views across the garden. From the terrace, it’s possible, to spy the bees and butterflies, in close by beds, enjoying their feast!
