Most are situated on a west-facing slope, with about a third located on level ground at the top of the hill. The chalky soil has been improved over 100 yrs of cultivation. There is also a wildlife meadow area.

Sutton Drove is R at Blatchington Pond uphill, or from Sutton Corner r'about, turn into Alfriston Rd, then take 1st L. Look out for yellow NGS signs at entrance.

Accessibility

  • Wheelchair access is very limited, as the allotments are on a steep slope. Only the main access track is level, though it is not hard-surfaced.
