Seaford Allotments

Seaford allotments have a very wide variety of planting styles and gardening methods on its 189 plots, most on a west facing slope, and third on level ground at the top of the hill. Soils are chalky, improved over 100 yrs of cultivation. There is also a wildlife meadow area. Visitors may follow giant vegetables that mark signed routes with views of Seaford and the distant sea.

Directions to Seaford Allotments
Sutton Drove is R at Blatchington Pond uphill, or from Sutton Corner r'about into Alfriston Rd, then 1st L. Look out for yellow NGS signs at entrance.

Accessibility

  • Very limited wheelchair access as the allotments are on a steep slope. Only the main access track is level, but is not hard surfaced.
