A former suburban commercial nursery, now an attractive and productive one acre organic, private garden. Over 100 fruit trees, many in trained form. Many different vegetables grown both outside and under cover in 20 metres greenhouse. Productive areas interspersed with informal ornamental plantings and cut flower areas to provide colour and habitat for wildlife.

About The Nursery

Formerly a suburban commercial nursery, this is now a large organic garden with a mix of fruit, vegetable and ornamental plantings. A wide range of vegetables are grown in beds and in traditional rows. There are several greenhouses including a 20m long structure used for tomatoes, peppers, aubergines etc. Fruit is a speciality with over 100 apples and pears, some as trained trees others as larger forms, plus soft fruit in a large fruit cage. Ornamental plantings focus on wildlife friendly plants with a small woodland garden and borders in an informal style, plus areas of flowers for cutting. The Nursery welcomes group visits and can provide tastings of produce such as tomatoes at appropriate times.

Group visits by arrangement particularly welcome and can be themed depending on the time in the season to inc tastings.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from May to September for groups of 12+.
