The Nutshell is a cottage garden in approx ½ an acre, created from scratch over the last 25 years. The garden is made up of different areas separated by herbaceous borders and rose arches. There is a lovely selection of plants used inc many peonies and an extensive collection of hostas. The owner has a keen interest in propagation with two polytunnels of plants available to purchase.

About The Nutshell

The Nutshell is a beautiful cottage garden set in about an acre of land, it was created from scratch over the last twenty years on what was meadow land. The garden is made up of various different areas separated by herbaceous borders and rose arches. There are many different Peonies, Delpiniums, Geraniums, roses and an extensive collection of hostas .The owner has a keen interest in propagation with two poly tunnels of plants growing .Other features include two wild life ponds, a small orchard, free range bantam chickens, vintage caravan, trailing clematis pergola and a spring flowering shrubbery.

The Nutshell openings

For this open day you can book your tickets in advance. Click on the yellow button below to book or you can just turn up and pay on the day.

Refreshments Light refreshments. We will be offering bacon rolls before midday. A selection of home-made cakes, tea and coffee is available all day.
