About Tresithney

Tresithney is situated on the ancient pilgrim route, the St Michael’s Way. It is the only European Cultural footpath in the UK and is connected to the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Walkers can collect passport stamps which contribute towards the distance covered. The garden is just up the lane from the Bowl Rock, a National Trust site featuring a huge granite boulder said to be thrown by a giant on St Michael’s Mount aiming at the giant Trecobben on Trencrom Hill. On top of the hill is an Iron Age hill fort, worthy of a visit in its own right for it’s beauty and marvellous views to both North and South coasts taking in St Michael’s Mount and Godrevy lighthouse.
The garden has soaked up the history of this ancient place of pilgrims and part of the garden, ‘The Dell’ has been designed as a quiet garden and a place to rest, and reflect. The remainder of the garden has lots of features including, beehives and ducks and chickens and an artists studio.
