About Trevina House
The gardens of Trevina are both old and new. Around the house are cobbled paths mostly laid out before the WW11 or even earlier. In large part a cottage garden with an alpine patio and shade garden. Across the lane, developed over the last thirty years, half is laid to managed woodland providing a large degree of self sufficiency and re-wilding before it was fashionable. There are 90 apple trees in an organic orchard and a hedge enclosed ‘traditional’ kitchen garden.
Winding walks through meadows and woods lead to the ‘trout’ pond on the site of a medieval fish pond. The site of a ‘Cornish Round’ has been planted a nut ‘spinney’ with a contemplative central clearing. Stout walking shoes are recommended as paths can be uneven and muddy. Teas and bladder break available.
