About Waunwyllt
The garden at Waunwyllt is divided into several separate ‘rooms’, each with its own colour coordinated planting and strong design. Plants reign supreme with cottage garden style plants mingling happily with ornamental grasses and tropical-style planting, set strikingly against black-painted garden woodwork.
A total of three ponds, a summerhouse, succulent house, a productive vegetable plot and polytunnel add further interest, all set against a tranquil woodland backdrop.
Wildlife is encouraged with a log piles, hedgehog access points and a few wilder undisturbed corners to the garden.
Many of the plants in the garden are propagated and are offered for sale – herbaceous perennials, salvias, agapanthus and ornamental grasses are particular favourites.
The garden has featured several times on S4C gardening programmes.
